Joan-Marie Moss is an accomplished Communications Professional, with multitude of writing and verbal talents that have served to support a vast array of clients' communication needs - from enhancing corporate image, to technical writing, to developing personal and professional effectiveness of professionals and businesses. She is credited with "ghosting" three books for an internationally-acclaimed marketing guru; co-authoring a book for Chicago businesses; coaching and editing the work of four authors' published books; teaching adult education courses, public relations and internet; researching and writing more than 35 feature articles for recognized business publications; and, 60 columns for three newspapers in metropolitan Chicago.
Ms. Moss has also developed print and online technical software manuals and worked as technical support for Gateway Computer in areas of hardware, software and internet services. She began working on the Internet, when the Web was in its infancy, in developing corporate identity and electronic bulletin board content.
Joan-Marie's communications talents have extended to providing an array of Public Relations expertise, working with newspapers and community organizations to develop sterling PR products. She has demonstrated capabilities in Message Development, Media Strategy, Navigation Design and Site Maintenance in support of e-Commerce initiatives.She has written press releases, both online and off, has participated in several trade shows and seminars as a planner and as a guest speaker/presenter on numerous radio programs.
Aside from Ms. Moss's creative talents, she has also exhibited a recognized business acumen. She has assembled business plans, negotiated contracts, established organizational goals and developed staff. To complement her sound business sense, Joan-Marie has participated on Boards of Directors in overseeing and guiding the strategic direction of their respective organizations.
As a facilitator, she has developed and conducted training programs in Business Communications and in Public Relations and a six-week sales training program for a Real Estate company. She founded and facilitated a thriving community based group of writers. She has pro-actively served on various not for profit and corporate boards of directors in capacities of secretary, treasurer, vice president and president.
Joan-Marie holds a degree in Business Communications and continued coursework in Technical and Business Writing, Public Relations, Marketing, to name a few. Professionally, she is a member of the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce, and is associated with the HTML Writers Guild and the National Writers Union.
Joan-Marie lives in Oak Park, a near western suburb of Chicago, and is active in many community affairs around the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
